- If the books are not returned within the due date, a fine of Rs. 2/- per day will be charged for the default.
- Duplicate Borrower’s Ticket will be issued on payment of a fee of Rs. 40/- each.
- Readers are required to deposit their bags belongings at the property counter before enter into the Library.
- Underlining, scribbling and tearing of pages or any other type of mutilation of books is strictly prohibited and will be severely dealt with.
- Use of mobile phones in the Library is strictly prohibited.
- Necessary action will be taken by the Librarian the users who are found to be misusing the service, facilities of Library collections etc.
- After use readers are requested not to replace the books on the racks. It will be done by him Library staff.
- No outside/personal books or after issuing the books are not allowed in the Library for reading purposes.
- The Librarian may recall any book any time if required.
- Silence should be maintained in the Library areas. Conversations, loud talking and discussions must be avoided within the Library.
- If a book is lost the Librarian has the power to decide whether the book has to be replaced or a fine is to be paid by the borrower. The fine could be up two (2) times the book current value.
- For Lecturers book we will issue for 15 days.
- For students book we will issue for 7 days.
- Reference book we will issue for overnight.
- Borrower's ticket not transferable.
General instructions:
- Books lost by the Borrowers have to be reported immediately in writing to the Librarian, failing which fines will keep on accumulating. Please do not ask for waiver of fines. Replace the book within the time permitted.
- Loss of borrower’s card has to be reported immediately in writing.
- Each borrower is responsible for the book issued on that card, so a borrower is requested not to lend his cards to others. Collect your library cards without fail after returning the books from the circulation counter.
- No due certificate will be issued at the end of even semester, on return of the Library Borrower’s card.
- Keep the Library clean.
- Use the dustbins provided in the reading area.
- No use of Cell phones
- Drinks and food items are not allowed.
- No bags and belongings allowed inside.
- Do not use the computers to play games and listen music.
- Please maintain silence.
- Sign the register kept at the checkpoint, while entering the Library.
